| The time has come to begin what is certainly an exciting and worthwhile project. The TCSs "Reach Out & Touch Someone" initiative is ready to roll and not a minute too soon. The importance of one Jew's caring for the physical and emotional well being of another is the foundation of Torah and the basis of Jewish life. To make a sad person smile, to help carry another Jew's burden, to make someone feel welcome are but a few of the mitzvot of interpersonal relations that the Torah so beautifully commands us to do for each other. This initiative is designed to encourage us all to involve ourselves and sensitize ourselves to the significance and fundamental importance of these Mitzvot. Be a part of this important initiative! Sponsor some touches, do some touches, be a part of it. I invite you you to play a role in either (or both) way - sponsoring someone in "touching" another Jew with these Mitzvot or doing them yourself. Remember, in this case, not only do you receive the gratification that you made a difference, but you also have an opportunity to win prizes! So join us as we make the world a better place, one touch at a time! With best wishes, Rabbi Avram Rothman | Click here to Change the World while you develop your midot. Any touch of kindness you give another person counts - large or small, makes no difference at all. One submission per week, please. Click here to connect yourself to this most important mitzvah in thousands of ways through your supportive sponsorship.
